Kasia loves kissing mama before sleep at night. She would play herself and then come to kiss for a while and then play again and come kiss.

Charlotte kisses on the air when she hears someone says being hurt. If I say I get hurt and she’s playing, she kisses on air muah muah, when kasia sees Charlotte doing it, kasia would kiss on the air too. They are two adorable girls.

Charlotte is such a good big sister. She takes good care of Kasia, she would share snacks with her, hold Kasia’s hand while playing, help Kasia when it’s needed or when daddy and mommy ask her to do.

We just came back from Texas and now retraining Charlotte to sleep on her own.

We came to visit Peter and Alice in Texas. Kasia was very shy the first day we came and stood in the kitchen or dining chair with head down, when mama asked her what’s going on and looked into her eyes she smiled and was shy. We all laughed, it was too hilarious.

Charlotte gave hugs to waipo, uncle and auntie and was not shy at all.

Kasia is such a climber. She now climbs to kitchen sink, new bed frame. She likes sitting on toilet just like Charlotte. She would sit there for half hour. She likes eating grapes, oranges. She likes fruits more than Charlotte does.

Grandma is back to china. The first day Charlotte cried a lot when she thought of grandma. But then she’s fine. She knows grandma went to Shanghai for grandpa.

宝子现在勇敢了，自从奶奶回去就刷牙第一天不敢刷牙膏还哭，第二天就自己说要刷辣辣的，说自己要勇敢，刷一会就赶快吐水，但坚持了下来，每次刷牙自己拿辣辣的牙膏。看妹妹爬她也学妹妹爬高高

Charlotte changes her so many times a day and always wants to wear hello kitty ones and dresses if she sees someone else wearing it. Charlotte talks so much now and says to Kasia like 不要打姐姐，姐姐好喜欢你。宝子太小了不可以穿婚纱。 There are times she eats popsicle or ice cream and mommy comes back home with surprised and she would say 妈妈，我不要吃巧克力和 ice cream 了。She’s too cute and makes hard for mommy to be mad at her.

Mommy was talking to a friend and Kasia was crying so I quickly grabbed ‘her’ and started nursing her. After a while mommy realized I was nursing Charlotte and she was so quite and calm letting mommy nurse her. Everyone burst into laughters.

Kasia now carries a stool to help her climb up to the sink in the bathroom. When Grandma asks her if her diaper is big, she would point to her diaper and pat on it. When ask her if she wants to change it, she would nod her head. She nods her head when she means yes, and point to places she wants to go or things she wants.

Grandma said kasia likes to kiss Charlotte at night when Charlotte is asleep, but Charlotte doesn’t like to be kissed. Kasia understands when mommy and daddy ask for a kiss, she would make a kissing sound too. Kasia likes to bite a whole apple rather than a piece. Unlike Charlotte,She likes to eat all kinds of fruits. Kasia also likes to cover herself up with a basket and sits very still in it for a moment. She likes to be covered with a blanket. Both girls would fight the basket to cover up. Kasia is brave, when she falls off, she doesn’t cry out every time. She also loves dancing. When the toys music turns on, she starts swinging her body.

Kasia says/ counts 1 and 2 while climbing up to a top and expects mommy to count 3 and swing her down to the floor. She’s so fun to play with. She also says nana (like banana). She says baba a lot too.

Kasia now understands more what we are saying. She doesn’t grab Charlotte’s hair like in the past. She would pretend she’s grabbing it and look at what your reaction is. Kasia waves her hand when she hears people saying bye. she likes eating a whole apple instead of just a small piece, she would grab an apple and eat by herself.

Charlotte is scared of swimming. We took her to YMCA pool a few weeks back and she cried through. She knows that she was afraid. When she came home she said : Charlotte 游泳哭哭， 呜呜我要回家， 睿希姐姐游泳勇敢游泳厉害，奶奶游泳厉害。she laughs atbherself. From this time when we go out, if we tell her we are going swimming, she would say she wants to stay home with grandma. We took her to a wading pool later and she enjoyed it. We then took her to the YMCA pool again this week. She still was scared, but daddy played with her and get her into the step of the pool. Eventually mommy carried her to see daddy swimming for a moment. When she came home she now says Charlotte 游泳没有哭哭，妈妈抱着你没有怕怕。

Charlotte was afraid of the big slide at play station, tried to go down herself so many times and didn’t make it. So mommy went with her for a few times, and she was OK sliding herself.

A friend invited her to vacation Bible study. She’s the youngest in the group and daddy and mommy went with Charlotte the whole week. She loves dancing and singing part. Charlotte went up to the front to dance with the older kids that were demonstrating the dance.

Kasia doesn’t pull Charlotte’s hair as much. When she reaches to the hair and mommy says no no no, 不要抓姐姐头发， she would smile and pull her hands back. She would pretend that she’s grabbing the hair and look at mommy to see if I say something. Charlotte tells kasia 不要抓姐姐头发 too when she sees kasia reaching out the hands.

Charlotte talks more and more. She say things like 妹妹不听话打屁股，she loves helping, when she wants to help she says： Charlotte 帮忙, she always wants to help.

We were in China for most of May. We we just went back, Kasia just wanted mommy and cried loudly during the night that neighbors could hear. She then accepted grandpa and would only let him hold her other than mommy.Kasia learned to walk during this time. She was able to take 1 meter then 2 meters. Charlotte and Kasia both liked to play with daddy’s shoelaces. Kasia would hold his shoes and walked with them.After we came back to the US, Kasia is able to walk around the house all by herself. She’s even going downstairs and up by herself. Many people say that she has grown up so big after watching her walking.She still likes to pull hair, especially Charlotte’s. She does it so many times a day.Charlotte is speaking so much more. She’s able to make sentenses and repeats what others say. I taught her some san zi jing 三字经 and she’s able to memorized some of it. When I start saying Ren Zhi Chu, she goes xing Ben Shan , and so on. Charlotte is such a previous girl.

Charlotte really wanted to watch videos and asked for “一分钟”, mommy told her if she wanted to watch she would need to sleep by herself and she said yes. When it was time to sleep. We had a small battle and daddy said there’s no way Charlotte would sleep by herself. the first 3 times she kept coming over, then mommy told her if she came again, i would close the door of the master room. mommy talked to her patiently and explained that because she said she would watch video then sleep by herself , he cannot change her mind. Mommy offered to lay down a few minutes with her and Charlotte finally laid on her own and fell asleep.  we kept doing this for a couple more nights and Charlotte was able to sleep herself.

Kasia is able to stand for about 15 seconds now and is able to walk with support much better. she’s so active that she would go to toilet and grab the toilet paper out of the toilet and put in her mouth, or play the water, so disgusting. she would reach the corner behind toilet to get the toilet cleaning tools. she grabs the seasoning, the plastic bags out of cabinet, take water bottles out of the white crate. she is able to climb up to the couch and down, and get down from her bed without falling down. she usually slowing touches the floor with two hands and then drag her body down. she sometimes let the legs get down first, a very smart baby.  Kasia still likes to grab Charlotte’s hair, it’s one of her must dos in her daily activities.  Kasia loves eating whatever we eat, and poop solid too. we give her rice and noodles mostly. sometimes fruit like oranges and grapes.

Kasia is saying “ba ba” and “ma ma” a lot. She started saying “baba” a lot, but she has been saying “ma ma” a lot these days. she sounds like she’s calling mommy “mama”.

Kasia us 9 month now! She’s at 12 percentile at for her height, not very tall. But her communication, motor skill , problem solving etc. are all beyond the cut off. We found her top teeth is coming out at her appointment. she is so active now that it’s a little stressful for daddy and mommy. She would grab Charlotte and mommy’s hair when she sees a chance. Charlotte always cries when that happens. Kasia does it on purpose and enjoy grabbing hair.

Kasia is very attached to mommy that sometimes when mommy goes to bathroom, has to bring her together, especially outside of our own home, like at grandparent’s house. She would crawl follow mommy’s sound while crying, when she finds mommy she grabs mommy’s leg and still cries until she’s been picked up.

Kasia is very brave. She climbs up to the slide, trampoline, couch. She’s able to get off the couch and bed herself without falling if there is a pillow. She knows the tricks. When we are outside eating and she sits in the high chair, she would climb up to the table.

Charlotte loves playing with Kasia although she needs to be careful with her hair. She would lay on bed and hold Kasia’s hand sometimes. They like to play on bed when waking up in the morning. They are so happy to see each other again after a long night.
