昨天妈妈研究了个新的recipe,南瓜饭，煮出来特别好吃自己吃了好几碗，但心里担心两个孩子不一定喜欢，因为她们从来没吃过南瓜饭，其实南瓜也不怎么吃过，就吃过奶奶和瞄急的南瓜饼。放学后一人给她们一碗，果然是都没吃完。姐姐很委婉的说是因为肚子饱了，妹妹则很老实的说这个饭不好吃。妈妈看着碗里剩那么多真是生气，在那念叨你们两个孩子怎么都那么挑食呢，要是你们像我小时候只有白米饭吃，你们就知道这饭多好吃了，于是吓唬她们说要饿她们个两天肚子，周末都不给她们饭了。

早上5:22分Charlotte 就早早起来在厨房忙活，我也醒来出去看看情况，她在洗米准备煮粥，我问她咋回事起那么早，她说：“我在煮稀饭，因为你说不给我们做饭，我怕我肚子饿“。这娃真是把啥话听进去了，我问说怎么可以起那么早，她说她想五点半起床，所以晚上就试着早睡。这娃厉害呀，脑子这么一想真可以准时起床。

Charlotte 总是把我的话听到心里去，几个礼拜前因为生气妹妹不听话，我就提了一嘴要不然以后你们不听话，我就离家出走自己到外头找个地方住，这样我就不用给你们洗衣做饭，早起叫你们，接送你们上课，我就不用生气多舒服呀。妹妹练琴时姐姐就各种打扫收拾家，吸地板扫地板，收拾鸟鸟垃圾。我问姐姐为啥一直在打扫，她说她想多帮忙，这样妈妈就不会离家出走了。

Kasia 今天发烧在家里休息，她在家问了好多问题，问舅舅是第几个姨，五姨在哪，为什么五姨生外婆气也不理我了。问God 是怎么born 出来的，我说我不知道， God说祂是有永有的，妹妹说以后等她死了去了heaven 再问一下God吧，又说自己不一定能去heaven 因为她有时会做坏事。又问Jesus 怎么从玛丽亚生出来然后还造了这个世界，想的问题还挺深奥的。

还说了在学校Ms. Burtch 不让孩子喝水，只能去switch class的时候把被子带去在那边喝。

Kasia helped with organizing bathroom top and was so excited to show mommy. She went organize guest room’s as well. She claimed that she’s good at organizing bathroom tops.

Charlotte is such a sweet and hard working girl, as well as grateful. She thanks mommy for being patient with her piano, for cooking , and for driving g her to her classes even mommy’s back hurt.

The girls have been writing some notes for dad and mom.

Charlotte turned 5 and Kasia turned 3 end of June. I asked if they were willing to move to their own room and Charlotte said yes immediately and said because she’s a big girl now. They loved their own room and would spend hours in their room playing.

Charlotte now practice writing the alphabet everyday and gets a flower every time she completes the alphabet and also writes the days of the week and her Chinese name. She’s excited because she could then redeem the flowers for treats. She got a chacolate at 10 flowers, an icecream at 20 and a lollipop at 30. She shared with Kasia. Kasia wanted to get her own flowers to get some treats too, and she’s been working so hard coloring her book.

Charlotte is very sweet and asks questions like, do you like naughty sister more or the good girl me better, do u like Daddy or me better. She’s so happy when she hears mommy saying likes her better. When she does something good and I don’t give her a hug or kiss, she would ask why I didn’t give her a hug and kiss.

Kasia is much more easier now than a few month ago. She doesn’t cry losing control like she used to be. She understands when she crys it would be too loud and she needs to get in the room until she finishes crying.

When eating ice cream I would tell them it’s for kids that are happy, and they would both keep laughing just to get more bites. They are very cute.

It’s real summer now and has been so hot. We all have been staying at home most of time since of the outbreak of coronavirus. This started from spring break, mid March with no schools.

Charlotte had homework to do. We would go walk trails because there were flowers and raspberries in trail. Both girls loved them and would go every day. It’s too hot now so we just play at the playground, which was built a month ago. Charlotte would go to the playground and wait for other kids to come and play with them. Around 9 o’clock, Charlotte and Kasia would change the swimsuit because the sprinkler system by the playground turns on at 9pm.

Kasia potty trained since spring break. She was almost potty trained before we sent her to daycare, but it was easier to still have her on diaper. She now doesn’t even wear a diaper during night sleep and doesn’t pee. There’s one night she woke up because she had to pee. She also started sleeping on her own bed late February. Both girls are sleeping on their on now in the same room with Daddy and Mommy.

Last week Kasia’s teacher Ms. Bao said Kasia used to be so quite in class, she could stand in a corner for half day and never initiate talks or wanting to play with her classmates. However Kasia now opens up herself and start interacting with the class and participates. Ms. Bao also said she liked to jump and climb a lot. That’s true we all knew that since she started walking. Everyone says we should sent Kasia for gymnastics.

Charlotte is able to write her own name well and knows her last name too. She’s such a sweet heart and always compliment mommy. She would say things like: I like u so much mommy, your hair, outfit, shoes, necklace etc.. are so pretty. Whenever mommy wears something, she would say it’s so pretty.

We moved to Austin Texas on Sept 30. stayed at uncle Howard’s spare house for about 2 months. We bought the new house on November 25th. Daddy and mommy was sick since then and it took almost 2 months for the family to get back to normal.

Charlotte started her full day Pre-K here and wasn’t used to it until 3 weeks later. She cried every morning. She said she’s used to it now and no more crying.

Kasia started her daycare preschool in November and just got used to it last week. It took her about 2 months and 20 days.she doesn’t cry in the morning anymore. but mommy needs to get Kasia dressed at night otherwise it would be a battle to try to change her again in the morning. Mommy always pull the two of you out of bed to car and go straight to school, you can have breakfast and lunch at school. It’s so much easier for us.

Mommy brought Charlotte and Kasia back to Charlotte with waipo, daddy stayed in the USA. I’ve been having a fever, but good thing is Charlotte was so good during the flight, just laid on her seat a lot of time. Kasia was active and liked to run through the aisle.

The next day we were back, nainai too mommy to hospital to get some medicine. Charlotte and Kasia stayed with waipo. Charlotte missed mommy and cried saying 我想我的妈咪了， 外婆说，我知道，我也想她了。then Charlotte was like 那是我的妈咪不是你的妈咪。waipo laughed, Charlotte was so cute, the way she talked.

Kasia likes 吃奶奶， when she doesn’t see mommy she forgets. But when she sees me, she points to mommy’s boob and says 呢呢， if I don’t let her graze she cries, bit when I ask her 要不要吃奶奶，she laughs so hard with sounds. Waipo and nainai both laugh.

Charlotte is so clever and she learns things fast. She can read somewhere around 50 Chinese characters. She is able to learn like 3 or 4 if the character can apply to daily uses.

Charlotte said she’s got two waipo 外婆， one is with auntie, one with waigong外公， made us laugh. She would show people that she could jump with one leg, do splits with her legs apart and be very proud of herself. She would come up different poses or guestures and tell mommy that she can do it.

She learns the names of the family, grand parents , aunties and cousins . She would say 爸爸叫懿佳，妈妈叫月蓉，妹妹叫书昕，外公是 Mike, 外婆是英，奶奶是徐妈妈，爷爷是徐爸爸，姨姨是 Emily, uncle Corey 是 Corey, 三姨是月婷，sophia 是Sophia, Landon是 Landon, Sierra是 Sierra . She would repeat them after and after and would try to call waigong , daddy or mommy by the name sometimes .

Kasia went to play and learn at the library. There was a little girl having birthday and her mom brought some cupcakes. Kasia had one too and got all the frosting all over her cheeks , lips, and her hands. Mommy was trying to catch and wipe her up but she ran away and bumped into another mom and the frosting got all over on her cloth.

Charlotte and Kasia were fighting for a mop and daddy took Kasia and changed her diaper, then gave her a jelly stick because she was crying. Charlotte then asked for one too saying (我摔倒了哭哭可不可以吃个 ice cream)she fell down and cried so she wants one too.

Charlotte now loves wearing pajamas, even when it’s during the day. A few weeks ago she would take her pajamas off once she got up and changed it back when it’s night. But she would want to wear her pajamas even going outside
